What changes the price
Why two spring jobs can cost different amounts.
- Door size and weight. A 16-foot insulated double door needs heavier springs and cables than an 8-foot single.
- Spring type. Torsion systems cost a little more than extension springs and last longer.
- What else is worn. If rollers or cables are close to failing, replacing them during the same visit saves a second service call.
- Emergency timing. Overnight dispatch carries a service call fee, credited toward the repair.
- Access. Low headroom, tight alleys or a door under a deck take extra hardware and time.
